Isn't this a gem? I have seen this (and will happily see this) a zillion times! Apart from the stellar performances by Palekar and Dutt, you gotta admit Dina Pathak was adorable! I also loved how realistic it was, from Ram's cramped Mumbai apartment to his friends' allusions to the then-political senario. While Ram caricatures himself both ways to keep his job, Bhavani is not that uni-dimensional either since he does love sports and can appreciate Laxman's musical talent.

Btw, if you liked this, you might also like Hrisikesh Mukherjee's Naram Garam (also starring Palekar and Dutt). It is not AS good as Golmaal IMHO but then how many can claim to be so?

Swati, thank you for the comment. I love your observation about Bhavani - you are right, he is also a multifaceted character. I will look out for Naram Garam!
