Every good movie has to have a decisive scene .The scene that defines the message of the movie.Though Deewar has many good scenes and power packed dialogues which have become legendary the two i like most are the ones that are subtle but pivotal . The first is when the smuggler Davar makes an offer to Vijay in his office overlooking the marine drive. The scene signifies the transition of Amitabh from one fighting for justice to that of one going against the law and it also shows what is going on in his mind at that moment. 'Ek maa do chhote bacchen .. Mujhe aapka sauda manzoor hain davar Saab'
The other scene which saddened my heart is under the bridge when Vijay tries to convince Ravi to take a transfer out of genuine worry for his brother's life but Ravi misunderstands him thinking he is telling him to escape the arms of law on which Vijay remarks' Lagta hain jo Dewaar hun dono ke beech hain woh is pull se kahin oonche hain '

Thanks for that nice comment, Yogesh.

I'm wondering if some comments have been lost here, I was sure there were some older comments on this post as well. This is what I get for not keeping up with my own work.
