    Nice review. I remember the James Bond-ish lair of the villain with the retractable plank and the pit in the middle. The issue of nature/nurture is similar (though with two protagonists instead of one) to what was explored in Raj Kapoor's "Awaara."

    Thanks guys. Parvarish is the best kind of masala film, in that behind all the silliness there lurks some interesting, thought-provoking social commentary. Manmohan Desai seems to have been so good at that.
