Every Dilip Kumar movie that I have seen in color (save 'Shakti' mainly because you get to see him & Amitabh on the screen together) has disappointed me and this adds to the list. His black & white movies are absolutely stunning and I am not sure why this is - he was still fairly young when color came about - maybe his best work came early in his career?

As far as Naushad's work goes - he remains my all time favorite composer (my friends think I am such a fogie for that:) and if possible get a 'Best of' collection of him on CD. The soundtracks for Anmol Ghadi,Dard,Mela,Andaaz,Aan,Baiju Bawra,Mother India,Mere Mehboob,Pakeezah are all considered legendary and remain some of my favorite soundtracks. Historically speaking 2 of them are worth mentioning - Andaaz which remains the only movie starring Dilip Kumar, Raj Kapoor & Nargis. It was hard to even pay attention to the story being so awestruck at the 3 actors together onscreen. Also - Anmol Ghadi which is the last movie of Noorjehan (rare combination of an actress who was also an accomplished singer) before she migrated to Pakistan after the Partition.

The comments against dilip kumar is totaaly biased and rubbish
i am sure they dont know the quality of art
same as they can not recognise the difference between brass and gold

Among other actors of subcontinents, Dilip is the greatest of all and it is foolish to compare him with other actors who so ever are . He is legend of legends ,original and natural he is simply marvelous and superb.
